Christmas Full Moon
Well it won’t be a white Christmas here in Arizona but it will be a bright one, thanks to a full Moon which happens to line up with Christmas day this year. An interesting fact – the full Moon rises Read More …
The Fountain Hills Astronomy Club was founded in 2014 as a way to "share knowledge and encourage curiosity" among residents of Fountain Hills and our surrounding communities. There are no dues or fees required to join or to attend meetings or events. Everyone (including children!) is welcome regardless of their level of experience. Club members assist the Fountain Hills Library with their monthly public skywatches in Centennial Circle where visitors can observe the planets, stars and galaxies through numerous telescopes. We also provide assistance to anyone wishing to learn how to use their own astronomical equipment and advice to those looking to purchase a telescope. Club meetings are held monthly [schedule TBD] in the conference room of the Fountain Hills Library where speakers from around the area will offer talks on various topics of interest to amateurs. See our Contact page for directions.
